Blog: A taste of what you may find on Maui

Eskimo Candy

I’ve been craving poke. Yes, that wonderful raw marinated fish… I happened to be talking with a neighbor yesterday, and she was craving it too. So guess where we went for lunch today? The place I’m told has the best poke on the island… Eskimo Candy!

I had the poke bowl – four different kinds of ahi poke, seaweed salad on rice.
It may not look that great, but it was amazing!

Sig played it safe and had fish and chips. He said it was very good, too.

Where do you find Eskimo Candy? It’s in an industrial park near the middle school in Kihei, at 2665 Waiwai Place. From the Piilani Hwy turn downhill onto Lipoa (left or right depending on where you are coming from) and drive past the elementary school and aquatic center. Turn left onto Liloa Rd at the first set of lights. Turn right at the stop sign onto Halekuai St and you’ll see it on the left side, across from the car dealership.

Yum yum yum.
